Press Release
Push Baby, Push sends tips and reminders during your pregnancy
Texting from the womb
AUSTIN, TX -- March 10th, 2011
You or your partner is pregnant, what do you do now? Sure, you will be reading every book you can find and be getting advice from all your family and friends but most of the time the information isn't timely or relevant. The other problem is that a large majority of men don't follow their partners pregnancy as close as they would like them to. Push Baby, Push is a new startup ready to simplify the flow of information for everyone during the pregnancy.
Using Twilio's [http://twilio.com] SMS API, they have created a service that pushes out information, advice, that are relevant to the stage of pregnancy. Its as if your developing baby is sending you updates and reminders from the womb. Its a great way, especially for first time parents, to easily stay up to date on what is going on and what they should be doing. If a doctor signs up they have the ability to customize when and what messages are sent. This allows the doctor to proactively inform their patients of any issues to expect and how to deal with them, saving time in the office .
A majority of traditional cell phone users are ignored when when it comes to features and services. This main reason to have this as a SMS service and not an app right away is that is it phone agnostic. This runs on all phones and not just smart phones which account for only a quarter of all cell phones.
ABOUT Push Baby, Push
To make it easier for the mother to be and her partner Push Baby, Push offers a curated list of messages to send out that are relevant to that week or the one up coming. Using a simple text message, reminders to make appointments, avoid certain foods, and what to expect/prepare for in the coming week. Its texting from the womb. The advantage of offering SMS instead of a dedicated app is that This may be just a reminder to the mother, but it could also be a way to keep the partner in the loop if they haven't read all the same material. Its texting from the womb.
